Invisible Grille Options

When anyone mention Invisible Grille (IVG), a common image we have in our minds would be thin cables strung across the balcony. However there are more options for invisible grille than that, and they serve to satisfy specific needs of home owners.

The options

 

1. Fixed Invisible Grille/Fixed Panel

 

Most common and popular for home owner, this type of IVG Is fixed into position once installed. Other than balconies, this type of install is also possible for staircase, railings or windows. They provide an unblocked view but is fixed once installed hence it is important to make sure you’ve considered all aspects before deciding.


2. Fixed Frame

This comes with a fixed frame where the invisible grilles will be housed. They are mounted on top of existing window frame . It comes with two ways to layout the grilles:

  • Horizontal layout — Invisible Grilles are secured left to right
  • Vertical layout — Invisible Grilles are secured top to bottom

Note: Casement will require space which would be protruding out of the window ledge


3. Openable Grille

  • This design is built in such a way that allows your window to be opened Left or Right, just like your usual windows without any restrictions. It comes with two ways to layout the grilles:
  • Horizontal layout — Invisible Grilles are secured left to right
  • Vertical layout — Invisible Grilles are secured top to bottom.

Note: Casement will require space which would be protruding out of the window ledge


4. Sliding Invisible Grille

Instead of opening left or right, this design allows the casement to be slide to the left or right.

Note: With the sliding track, there would some protruding out from the wall (around 15cm).


5. Bi-Fold Invisible Grille

Fashioned using a bi-fold approach, the casement is designed to be folded twice. This can be folded to the slide allowing more access to the window.

They are mounted on top of existing window frame and hence will be protruding out (around 5cm).

Note: Casement will require space which would be protruding out of the window ledge
